One of the best parts about the Farmer’s Daughter location is its proximity to LACMA. I strolled over one day and for only 15 bucks I got to peruse some of the finest art in the world- Picasso portraits that I was not permitted to take pictures of, Monet landscapes that transported me to another time and place, and structures built before the world had even heard of Jesus Christ. Cultural time-travel. A gold door taken from a church in Ukraine, situated next to 18th century, American ladies’ dresses. These photos were taken primarily on the third floor of the Ahmanson building. Just a sliver of the work on display throughout LACMA’s nine structures.
