Game Night at Grand Central Market

After almost 100 years in business, Downtown L.A.’s Grand Central Market is once again hitting their stride. The market is basically foodie heaven, featuring traditional and authentic eats from several cultures directly alongside renowned hipster food destinations such as Egg Slut, Berlin Currywurst, DTLA Cheese, Press Brothers Juice and Horse Thief BBQ.

The Market’s mission is simple: “To celebrate the cuisines and cultures of Los Angeles.” And with their new Game Night, which runs every Thursday night until 9 p.m., they’re adding yet another reason to take to the market for a meal. Participating vendors run the gamut of delicious eats while several others provide the booze.

Featured at game night are all everyone’s favorite face-paced classics such as ping pong, Cards Against Humanity, Settlers of Catan and more. After you eat your fill and play your cards right, DTLA’s thriving and emerging nightlife beckons you to keep the night going. Local venues such as The Continental Club, The Varnish, 6th Street Tavern, The Lash Social, The Standard and Ace Hotel are just a few blocks away and provide a solid base for you to build you night.

Grand Central Market is located at 317 S. Broadway and is surrounded by parking garages whose prices drop once you get to the evening. If you’re looking to avoid the parking hassle or plan on staying out without having to worry about driving home, it’s about 7 miles from Farmer’s Daughter Hotel and an Über or Lyft won’t end up costing much than parking.
