Street Shooting at the Los Angeles Center of Photography
Street photography is the art of capturing candid moments in public spaces. This is a pretty loose definition and includes everything from human interaction to shots of a decidedly human landscapes with no human subjects present. The genre is the basis for the Street Shooting photography competition the Los Angeles Center of Photography (LACP) hosted over the last few months that is now coming to an end in LACP’s gallery.
Some 29 artists have photographs featured at Street Shooting from now until March 6. The scope is wide, and includes many street photographs from Los Angeles as well as shots taken in Manhattan, India, Paris, Mexico and more. This is a truly varied collection of photographs from around the world that all capture a unequally human characteristic.
LACP is located in Hollywood a little over 3 miles from Farmer’s Daughter Hotel. The gallery is free to visit and open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
